Opening Position: Business Analyst

Job Duties & Description:

Under Logistics Manager's supervision to perform data analysis by location, carrier, and mode selection to outline logistics network inefficiencies and opportunities. Provides the analysis to Manager for the development and implementation of continuous improvement and cost saving projects. Finds lowest transportation costs by analyzing company and customer needs, researching transportation methods, and comparing carrier costs and performances. Assists in the implementation and maintenance of automated and computer systems. Assists Manager to develop specifications and scopes of work to facilitate communications between domestic and international offices. Assists Manager to implement schedules and to deliver projects in accurate and timely manner. Works as a liaison among transportation, sales, warehouses, carrier providers, vendors, and IT to resolve logistics and transportation issues.

Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, in Management, or in MIS or the foreign degree equivalent AND 1-year business technology and management experience in transportation industry or other industries.
